We met and married young -they said it wouldn't last, but we proved them wrong and are still together 31+ years later.

Celebrating Grete's 17th birthday at the GPO Tower revolving restaurant in London in 1975.

Wedding: We tied the knot in Oslo Town Hall on Friday 13th 1977 (lucky for some).

Children: A long time ago we chose to remain childless, preferring to devote time to each other, and of course travel.
______________________________________________
Pets: Unfortunately our last remaining cat, Tammy, had to be put down in July 2003, so we no longer have any pets (having had four cats at one stage, six tropical fish tanks, a couple of terrapins and a pond full of koi).

Relations: Grete's parents, Nina and Olav, are still alive although Nina suffers from Motor Neurone Disease and Olav from Asthma otherwise they keep relatively well. They live just 1½ miles away from us here in Nailsea, Bristol. They recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
David, unfortunately, lost both his parents a number of years ago. His brother Peter and wife Chris also sadly passed away, while his sister Pauline and brother-in-law Rob live in Reading.

Home: We live in what was a four-bedroomed link-detached house, but after converting one bedroom to an office and joining two of them together to make one large master-bedroom, we now actually only have two bedrooms.
Downstairs we have a living room at the front of the house and the back of the house is three rooms - an office with 'his and hers' PCs, a kitchen and a dining room that joions the two and looks out over the garden and the decking containing ae hot tub and a sheltered seating area.

Garden: Having bought two hammocks in Mexico in 1996, David had to build something to hang them from, hence the Pavilion (a grand name for a simple gazebo) was born. David also constructed a covered terrace with glass walls on 2½ sides and with a patio heater for those chilly autumn and spring evenings. We both enjoy spending time outdoors on dry days and the garden reflects this with seating dotted around the various areas.

Cars: The first flush of youth is now over, and we have gone from driving sports cars (Triumph Spitfire, MGB GT and Lotus Europa) or kit cars (Spartan and Beach Buggy), to the more comfortable Peugeot 307 hdi (with personalised plate G2ETE) and the environmentally friendly Toyota Prius. You know you're becoming old when getting in and out of the car easily is a priority when buying a new car!
