I enjoy creating things with my hands, including cookery, drawing and other types of art.

Play dough. I created this naked man for a plaque to go on our bathroom door.

I spent years doing china painting and even considerd getting my own oven for firing the paintings. I moved on to another hobby before I got that far though.

I enjoy various types of embroidery, except cross stich. To me that is too mechanical, I prefer to be able to be a bit more creative.

Silk painting was something else I devoted a lot of time to, but haven't done for a while. This is a quilted bedcover I made for a friend who was expecting her first baby.

Recently I haven taken to making jewellery, having discovered a fabulous store selling all the necessary bits. The picture shows an anklet I made to match a dress.

For many years I made all my own clothes. I also made my own wedding dress, and my friend Julie's wedding dress. I sewed on more than 3000 pearls and other decorations. A true labour of love.

Scrapbooking is a fun way of remembering holidays and other important occasions.

These days I tend to get more into projects that involve the PC. For my parents' Golden Wedding anniversary I created an album for the with over 300 pictures of both of them in various parts of the world.

I also did a 'This is Your Life' album for my mum's 75th birthday, with her entire life laid out including numerous old pictures and messages from all her friends and family.

In these days of technology, it is only natural that some crafts do involve the use of computers. I love using Photoshop to manipulate and create.
