Grete is wild about penguins and David has a soft spot for lizards.

Penguins: Grete's collection of soft toys, ornaments, fridge magnets etc numbers over 300 and is growing steadily. We have been lucky enough to see penguins in the wild on Four occasions:

1. Philip Island in Australia - Fairy Penguins

2. Boulders Beach in South Africa - Cape Penguins

3. Ballestas Islands in Peru - Humboldt Penguins

4. Antarctica - Adelie, Gentoo, Chinstrap & Macaroni Penguins

There are 17 species of penguins in total - so only 10 to go!

Lizards: These are of course more numerous and easier to spot, but one favourite is the Jesus Christ Lizard we encountered in Costa Rica - so named because it can 'walk on water'. David's lizard collection is not as extensive as Grete's penguins, but Lizard Lounge is filling out nicely. David does not discriminate, he favours iguanas, geckos, skinks, lizards and chameleons equally. Many different species were seen whilst travelling around Madagascar in 2003.
